Chapter 47 – Monday July 15, 2019 – Saturday July 28, 2019
The harassment escalates. The Stampers and Pollingtons begin involving other people not known to Marie or myself.
To this point there have been at least fifteen complaints to police (at least 8 from our landlord and his crew) resulting in 14 responses, and charges being laid in two cases (against Jeremy Stamper).
The tally is at 18 hours 45 minutes of hearing time at the LTB, in 14 hearings, two by telephone, eleven in person (counting the Case Management Hearing and mediation session of May 19, 2017 as hearings). It has also used up 9 hours and 51 minutes of a mediator’s time.
On the criminal side, it has used up whatever time the pre-enquete hearing used when process was issued on Pollington’s private complaint, and ne short appearance. Call it two hearings, 50 minutes of a judge’s time.
The cops are increasingly hostile.

Chapter 44 – Friday June 1, 2019 to Wednesday July 10, 2019
The tally is at 18 hours 45 minutes of hearing time at the LTB, in 14 hearings, two by telephone, eleven in person (counting the Case Management Hearing and mediation session of May 19, 2017 as hearings). It has also used up 9 hours and 51 minutes of a mediator’s time.
On the criminal side, it has used up whatever time the pre-enquete hearing used when process was issued on Pollington’s private complaint (call it one hearing, 45 minutes) and one short appearance (5 minutes) for a total of 50 minutes of a judge’s time.
There have been at least eleven complaints to police (at least 6 from our landlord and his crew) resulting in 10 responses, and charges being laid in one case.
Municipal Law Enforcement had also expended approximately 5 man-days (including two man days expended sitting in an LTB waiting room, waiting to be called as witnesses).
Chapter 37 – Thursday November 1, 2018 – Friday November 30, 2018
Pollington continues his harassment, and gets help from the Stampers. Jeremy Stamper is arrested and charged with assault with a weapon.
Chapter 36 – Tuesday September 25, 2018 to Wednesday October 31, 2018
Agostino serves us with a Notice of Entry that ignores the Interim Order. John enters and violates the consent order repeatedly until he is told to leave. He refuses, police are called, and John leaves. The repairs continue without John present, although he stays outside the unit and continues being antagonistic.
Chapter 09 – Monday May 15, 2017
So far, this disagreement with our landlord had used up 3 hours 30 minutes of hearing time at the LTB, in 4 hearings, one by telephone, one in person (counting the Case Management Hearing as a hearing). It has also used up 2 hours and 20 minutes of a mediator’s time. It has resulted in two responses by HPS to a complaint (one by the tenants). I’ll keep a running tally.
Chapter 07 – Monday April 2, 2017 to Sunday April 30, 2017
Tuesday April 3, 2017 – I called Agostino to try and make arrangements to pay the rent (AR 49). Not very productive. A phone call to Richard Pollington an hour later was made to clarify things to inform Richard (again) to contact me and not my roomate for anything to do with the unit, to …

Chapter 01 – Background – September 2015 to December 2016
This will NOT be a rant against an evil landlord. This blog will be a detailed example of how far a landlord can go without any real consequences, the lack of any real protection at all for tenants in Hamilton from a landlord who refuses to do repairs and who is willing to harass and intimidate a tenant into moving. It is a clear failure of Municipal Law Enforcement, the Landlord Tenant Board and HPS. This is an example of the general inability of our legal system to deal with “sociopathic” behavior that is extremely disturbing and affects quality of life for everyone. Badly. The most well-known example would be the current POTUS, Donald Trump (and I’m not certain that Trump is a “sociopath”, since I’ve never met the man. But his behavior closely mimics what one would expect from someone suffering from NPD.)
